to Bonitas Spier Mountain Bike Fun Fest

The Spier MTB Fun Fest is part of the Global Live Earth weekend, where we will be cycling for our most precious resource… water! Why not join us for the MTB Family ride on Saturday 17 April and be part of the Global Live Earth 6km Run/Walk event on 18 April.
100 countries around the world will have this event on the same day!

17 April, Spier MTB Fun fest 6km & 15km routes with Mango Groove Concert

  • Registration 17 April: 07:00 – 10:00
  • To bring: Please remember to bring your own water bottles for the race, we will have 2 water tables on route but will only be serving fruit from there…no water. (we are getting that water message across…of what it would be like if you had to carry water for 6km’s …). Also bring umbrellas for possible rain or shade as it is an open air venue.
  • Entries Close: 16 April 2010 @ 18:00
  • Starting times: Both races start at 10:00
  • Prize Giving: 12:00
  • Mango Groove concert: 15:00 – 17:00
  • Race Village: There will be an interactive Race Village focusing on Water conservation. Food and refreshments will be sold in the race village

18 April, DOW Live Earth Run for Water 6km with Parlotones Concert

  • Registration 18 April: 07:00 – 10:00 (please note all entrants have to walk/Run the 6km route in order to see the concert)

Other Details

  • Please note that you will not be able to park at the main entrance at Spier but will have to make your way round the back of Spier to park via Lyndoch Road/Annandale Road.
  • Food and Beverages will be sold at the Race Village
  • Spend some time in the race village and find out more about Water Conservation and why it is needed!
  • We look forward having you with us.
